Here, there and Everywhere: Travelling around Majorca
If you aren’t content with staying in one place on your holidays, you are going to need to find a way to get about! Getting to Mallorca is fairly easy, and travelling around the island should be equally simple!
Hiring a car is usually the easiest option for travelling about. Car hire in Mallorca can cost as little as 10 euros a day and is the most comfortable and hassle free option, especially when you are travelling with children! Driving through the main resorts and city centres can be a little tricky, but once you get of the bustle, the winding country roads have truly spectacular views. If you’re travelling to the more remote parts of the island, make sure you have filled up with plenty of petrol as petrol stations are few and far between! As road conditions are fairly good throughout Majorca, exploring by bike is a fantastic way to see all the places that cars can’t reach! Bike riding is popular in Majorca and if you aren’t feeling brave enough to explore alone, there’s plenty of group excursions you can sign up to!
If you are on a budget on a Majorca cheap holiday, the bus is the easiest and least expensive way to get around. The island is well connected by bus routes, and you can easily travel to all the main towns and resorts. If you are going to be travelling a lot, save money and buy a travel card which can be used on nearly all the buses.
As Majorca is an island, getting around by boat is well developed and efficient. Fast ferry services run between Majorca and the Spanish mainland, as well as to nearby islands of Majorca and Ibiza. Water taxis are also available, so if you need to get somewhere or just want a cruise around the island, they are always great fun!
There’s no excuse not to explore on your Majorca holiday! With so many different ways to travel around, you can be sure to find something to suit any holiday budget!
thanks
